Peter has over 30 years experience in international mining and mining contract industries from project management to director level. Having started his mining career on the development of the Selby coalfield with Thyssen and Cementation Mining. Peter spent 16 years in the British coal industry before migrating to Australia.
Over the past 15 years Peter has gained international mining, contracting and business development experience in many countries including Thailand, India, Indonesia , South America and New Zealand where he was General Manager of Greymouth Coal's Spring Creek Mine, a prime coking coal operation, through its development and early production stages.
Peter has day to day responsibility for the Group's coal operations in Mozambique and manages a team of 270 in southern Africa.
Neil has in excess of 25 years’ experience in the minerals and resources industry, having most recently been CFO of Gloucester Coal Limited, an ASX listed coking coal producer. Prior to this, Neil held a number of finance positions for Noble Group, a global commodity trader. Neil is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University, Australia. He previously held Senior Finance roles with Renison Goldfields Limited, Iluka Resources, Oil Search Limited and Whitehaven Coal.
Ric is responsible for overseeing the Group's activities in Mozambique and the day to day operations of the Minas Moatize Coal Mine. He is an Australian Chartered Engineer with over 25 years of experience in the mining sector, having held senior operational and corporate management roles involving both open-pit and underground operations. A Mozambican national and a respected mining engineer well known within the Mozambican mining industry and government circles, Ric gained experience of the Moatize coal fields early in his career. Ric has also worked in Portugal, Papua New Guinea and Australia, latterly as Group Chief Mining Engineer at ASX listed Aditya Birla Minerals Limited.
David is responsible for assisting the Executive Chairman with developing and managing customer relationships, identifying corporate opportunities for the Group including acquisitions, long term funding and public company matters. David joined the Group in May 2011 and was previously employed by Macquarie Bank. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne.
Gerhard is the director of Consolidated Resources and Mining. Gerhard has had experience with African logistics, mining operations, export and imports.
Massimo is responsible for the development and operation of Minas Moatize. Massimo is a qualified mining engineer with over 30 years experience in managing international opencast and underground coal mining operations. Massimo has had mining experience in Europe, USA, Africa, South America and Australia.
Adelino is responsible for overseeing the Group’s finance, accounting, legal and risk management functions in Mozambique. Adelino has 30 years’ experience in senior financial management roles throughout Mozambique, Angola and Europe having held positions at Dow Chemical, Hanna Instruments, DHL, Baker Hughes and Trafigura. Adelino has a Master Degree in Marketing of Services and he graduated as an Economist from the University of Coimbra. Adelino is an Official Chartered Accountant and member of the Portuguese Association of CPA’s.
Alan is responsible for the day to day operations of Tasmania Magnesite. Alan was previously the Managing Director of the Tasmanian Government Business Enterprise, Civil Construction Corporation. Also has also held General Manager roles with the Hazell Brother's Group (a private company involved in civil construction, bluestone quarrying, heavy transport and farming) and has held a number of General Manager roles within the Tasmanian State Government and Telecom Australia (now Telstra).
